You can apply filters to a to limit which records will show in the layout. You can limit a list layout to only show records that meet (or do not meet) specific conditions. Filters apply to all users including admins.

Conditional visibility and layout filters are not security features. Use conditional visibility and ownership filters together with security features such as , and , to keep your data secure and never shared with anyone it shouldn’t be.

Filters can only use the 'AND' logic. If you have many conditions, then the records must meet all conditions.
You can filter currency, percentage, roll-up, and formula fields using number operators: =, <, <=, >, => and ≠.
Users must have 'read' permissions for the fields used in the filter.
You can filter using relative date filters (eg tomorrow, this week, last quarter).
You can use filters along with to create different layouts.
In our properties app we have set the filter to only show properties that are not empty. This means any properties that are currently empty will not show up on our layout.
We can also add additional filters to only show a status of a property, such as "Sold" or "Offer Accepted"
