# Allow users to download list data as CSV

You can enable your users to export List Layouts as CSV files. The exported data respects the users’ read permissions and only includes fields and data displayed on the list view. It also takes into account any filtering, sorting, or search results.

### Allow users to download data:

1. Click **Edit Layout**
2. Under **Additional options,** toggle on "Allow users to download data"
3. To export: select the download icon next to the search bar
