# Set default values on Forms

Set a default value in the create form to easily prefill any fields.

## Enable Default Value

1. Click Add New on the table you want to edit
2. Click **Edit Layout**
3. Click on the field you would like to prefill
4. Select a Default Value
5. All field types are accepted
6. To make field non editable, check the ready only box

When your users enter a new record, the field will automatically be pre-filled.
