# Enable Breadcrumb Navigation

In your app, you can turn "breadcrumbs", the link trail at the top of the page, on or off.

For example, our app shows this record's list layout in the breadcrumbs, allowing easy navigation back to the previous page.

### Enable Breadcrumbs

1. Click **App settings**
2. Click **General**
3. Scroll to the row titled **Breadcrumbs**
4. Select **Expand**
5. Check the box to turn on Breadcrumbs, uncheck the box to turn them off
6. Save
