# Change the title on the detail page

To update the title of a Detail Layout you need to change the display name or customize the display name.

### Change the display name

1. Click **Manage fields and data**
2. Click **Settings**
3. Expand **Display Name**
4. Select fields from the dropdown

In our Property app we want to change the title from the Clients name to another field.

### Customize Display Name

You can customize the title by adding a specific field to display in the title section.

For our property app, we want to show a welcome message to the Clients when they log in. A field has been added to the Airtable base.

Changing the Display name to this welcome field will customize the user message.
