Stacker V5 (Astra) is the latest version of Stacker that was launched publicly in Spring 2024.

How can I tell which version am I using?

How can I try Stacker V5 (Astra)?

You can book an onboarding call here, or email support@stackerhq.com.

Does Stacker V5 (Astra) support external data connections?

Not yet.

We've focussed on making sure that we can serve the operational needs of entire businesses as a stand-alone product with the built-in Stacker Tables first.

We know that integration with other systems is critical for many processes: so we've got support for Make and Zapier integrations, and we will have a public API and native data integrations in future.

Does Stacker V5 (Astra) have an Airtable data connection?

Not yet.

We know a lot of existing customers rely on the Airtable data connection. We're planning for this to be available in Astra later in 2024.

How can I upgrade to Stacker V5 (Astra)?

Stacker V5 (Astra) has many features that have been completely rebuilt or reimagined, accordingly there isn't a direct automatic upgrade path. There will be manual effort involved in upgrading and some changes to how some features work.

Over the course of the coming months we'll be releasing tools to make transitioning easier, and we'll be available to help customers who are ready transition to formulate their transition strategy.

If you want to talk to us about this, then book a call or email support@stackerhq.com, and we can look through the specifics for your workspace.

What is happening to Stacker V4 (Classic)?

We don’t today have a timeline to retire Stacker V4 (Classic), so there is no urgent action required. We’ll be continuing to support Classic until at least the end of 2025. In the fullness of time we do expect Stacker V5 to replace Stacker V4, but this will be a lengthy transition.

We want to be upfront that this new version is a significant upgrade and we’ve taken the opportunity to invest in some of our fundamentals and make a number of not backwards compatible changes. Not all features from the existing version (now called Stacker V4 or Classic) will be supported. We will be making tools to help your business make the transition, which will be available in due course.
